Dr. Shah performs laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomies, urinary incontinence procedures, and hysteroscopic surgery.
Laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy
LAVH is a surgical procedure used to remove the uterus, fallopian tubes, or ovaries through tiny abdominal incisions via vaginal canal.
Urinary incontinence
Urinary incontinence is a common and embarrassing problem that affects 10-30% of women. Dr. Shah performs a mid-urethral sling to alleviate this problem and improve quality for life for his patients for the last 20 years.
Hysteroscopic surgery
A hysteroscope allows the surgeon to visualize the inside of the uterine cavity. Dr. Shah uses a hysteroscope to examine the shape of the uterus, the lining of the uterus, and evidence of intrauterine pathology (fibroids or polyps).
